ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Pharmacology is the study of kinetics and dynamics of drugs. It involves elaborated discussion of drug and living system interaction in terms of efficacy and safety. It prepares the students with basic to advanced knowledge that can be useful for their careers in research, academia, industry or government. The department of Pharmacology is well established with state of the art equipment to conduct pharmacological studies. The facilities of the department includes Animal house established as per the rule of CPCSEA, Gov.of India. The department has been engaged in multi-disciplinary research, it has been serving the needs of various other departments which are involved in drug discovery such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutics etc. The department has highly qualified and competent staff members who are passionate about teaching and research.

- COVID Awareness videos by Pharm D II and III Year Students which were disseminated to public through social media.
- On the Occasion of World Pharmacist Day September 25th 2019, Pharmawalk was conducted where the Students put in effort to publicize the importance of Pharmacist in Health Care system
- Health camp in association with Thyrocare on eve on International Women’s Day 8th March 2019 was conducted at the premises of RBVRR Women’s College
- Health camp and Breast cancer Awareness Campaign was conducted on 24th September, 2018 on occasion of World Pharmacists Day at community hall Chikkadapally. The camp mainly aimed at low to medium socioeconomic population in Chikkadapally area and 64 people utilized free health checkup Services in this camp.
- Free Health checkup stall in Hyderabad Fest 2018 (organized by Jana VignanaVedika Telangana) from 13th to 22nd April held at Telangana Kala Bharati (NTR Stadium) Hyderabad. Our students successfully ran the stall and services were offered for about 1000 people.

- As part of pharmacist week celebration, free public Health Camp on 22nd November 2017 at Barkatpura. In this camp, blood glucose levels, Body Mass Index, Blood Pressure levels were evaluated. In the camp 150 persons had participated from various backgrounds.
- Free public health camp was conducted as a part of pharmacist day celebrations at Ramkote, Hyderabad on 23rd September,2017 at Ramkoti. In this camp, blood glucose levels, Body Mass Index, Blood Pressure levels were evaluated. About 250 people utilized these services
- Pharma Walk:. RBVRRWCOP took step out of the college in Pharma walk on 24th November 2017 to Aware the public with the Theme” Know your Medicines: Ask your Pharmacist”. All the students of B. Pharma and M. Pharm, Faculty Members and few others joined the initiative taken by the college
- The Medical Department of Harikishan Eye Care. ,Barkatpura in association with our college organized an eye check up camp on 16th October, 2017 for students of B.Pharm, M.Pharm,& Pharm.D. The Eye Specialists from the hospital examined around 252 students.
